When you learn to do surrogate energy work, the real fun begins. You can just look at people, and care, and be able to help them to a certain degree. I'm not saying you can get to some definable end point, but you can make improvements - primarily in your own heart, and also for the other person.
Today at the park, a little boy was stung, or got a splinter or a bite or something. He was holding his hand and screaming hysterically. His mother was trying to get him to open up his hand, or tell her what had happened, and he was shrieking and freaking out. So I tried to send him some safety sort of vibes, or confidence ones, whatever, just to help him but to no avail. He was still hysterical. I then thought that although the mother seemed to be sort of OK, it could be that she might be passing on her terrible fears and worries to him, so I gave her a mental massage. Immediately, the boys cries changed tone, and seemed to be more in anger than panic, more controlled somewhat, more able to deal with what had happened. I sort of got distracted at that point, and when I looked up again all seemed to be calm.
I do not know if I helped him or her, but I'm glad I did what I did. Perhaps I did help her. So often we are observers and are unable to help people nearby in a crisis, although we badly want to, and we feel frustrated. Being able to send helpful vibes is such a blessing. Perhaps I'll never know for sure if I'm helping people or it it's all in my imagination. At least I didn't feel helpless. At most, I helped the kid and his Mom in this situation, with possible ripple effects in many interactions in the future.
What a blessing.
